Jiangxi College of Applied Technology Organized Chinese BridgeGroup Exchange ProgramLanguage Painting the Silk Road, Weaving the Future

Huang LuyanFrom October 11th to 22nd, the "Chinese Bridge"--Group Exchange Program "Language Painting the Silk Road, Weaving the Future",hosted by Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Educationof the Peoples Republic of China, was successfully held atJiangxi College of Applied Technology. The 12-day exchange and study program brought together 21 overseas team leaders from local subsidiaries of Chinese enterprises in Nigeria, Papua New Guineaand Myanmar, along with their enterprise representatives and translators.

The "Chinese Bridge" program was centered around the theme of "Chinese + TVET",featuring a comprehensive curriculum that integrated "Chinese language learning, cultural experiences, skill practice, and field visits." It aimed to build a growth platform fostering the synergistic development of language proficiency, technical skills, and global perspective, helping the team leaders gain a more comprehensive understanding of China, appreciate the charm of Chinese culture, promote mutual understanding and shared prosperity between China and other countries, and empower new developments in international production capacity cooperation.

During the course study phase, participants significantly improved their Chinese language application skills and understanding of Chinese culture through situational teaching methods. They experienced the charm of traditional cultural activities such as paper-cutting, filigree enamel painting, calligraphy, pottery, and Hanfu clothing through immersive sessions. They also engaged deeply in vocational skills modules, including "Chinese + 3D Laser Scanning Technology", "Chinese + Drone Technology" and "Introduction to Non-ferrous Metals".

Additionally, the participants visited the college’s Geological Museum, Smart Land Virtual Simulation Training Base, and Rock Climbing Base. They also explored the Ganzhou Ancient City Wall, the Fushougou Museum, and the enterprise (CHINALCO), gaining deeper insights through field visits and achieving "learning on the move and reflection through observation."

At the closing ceremony, Nigerian participants presented a vibrant traditional dance, the Papua New Guinea team performed the folk song "Borenomu",and Myanmar participants showcased a song and sepak takraw performance. During the Chinese song chorus segment, Nigerian participant Chilo Chigozie Desmondand Myanmar participant Pyae Phyo Thuperformed 《再见》(Goodbye),while all participants joined in singing 《茉莉花》(Jasmine Flower). The spectacular performances expressed their reluctance to part and conveyed heartfelt blessings, bringing a warm conclusion to this journey in China.
